What is the I-ACE Program?
The I-ACE program is Canada's only Indigenous co-designed and community delivered entrepreneurship program. Our programs provide prospective entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and mentorship needed to successfully start and manage a business, serve the community with confidence, and foster economic development without foregoing traditional Indigenous values. TRICORP has partnered with the Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria to create and deliver I-ACE, providing top entrepreneurial education and mentorship to students directly in their community.
Featuring Anna Hudson
Anna is a proud graduate of the Halalt I-ACE Tourism Entrepreneurial Skills Development Program. She is proud to build upon 10,000 years of tradition in her community through her adventure tourism and catering business.
Jaimie explains that her business would be a lot different without I-ACE. "The program allowed me to break free of feeling like an imposter in my own life. It gave me confidence, strength and skills to move forward with my business.”
Indigenous ACE graduate Patrick Shannon is shaping future Indigenous generations in communities across Canada. Inspired by his cultural upbringing he uses media to empower Canadians to address social and cultural issues within Canada’s Indigenous communities.
The Indigenous Advancement of Cultural Entrepreneurship Program would not be possible without our partnerships with Tribal Resources Investment Corporation (TRICORP) and the Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria. These key partners provide an innovative and personalized curriculum and mentorship program to Indigenous entrepreneurs across Canada.
